Eight 30 Records is pleased to announce that it has signed Matt Harlan! The Houston-based singer-songwriter plans to release his forthcoming as-yet-untitled new album on the Austin-based label in Spring 2019. “”I’ve been involved in a few Eight 30 projects before and I really dig their approach to making and releasing records,” Harlan says. “They really get me and what I’m trying to do, which goes a long way when you’re putting something you care about into the world. I can’t wait to get into the studio and lay down the new songs I’ve been writing and give ’em a proper send-off.”
Harlan joins banjo virtuoso Danny Barnes and celebrated songwriters Chris Fullerton and Emily Herring as artists on the label, which has released the tributes Cold and Bitter Tears: The Songs of Ted Hawkins, Dreamer: A Tribute to Kent Finlay, Highway Prayer: A Tribute to Adam Carroll and the recent Floater: A Tribute to the Tributes to Gary Floater, all produced by label co-owners Jenni Finlay and Brian T. Atkinson.
